As an Illustrator, my goal is to help you tell meaningful, character-driven stories.
I combine character design and writing with illustrations and comics to explore the psychology of human beings. My work handles themes of fear, violence, mental disorders, obsession, gender, sexuality, and self-discovery. I use a variety of media, both traditional and digital, to create my art.
My work responds to American culture, its strict societal roles and norms, and its promotion of apathy and censorship. Because breaking societal roles and discussing queerness and mental health is taboo, and the individualistic nature of American society encourages people to be self-centered, many do not bother to empathize with anyone who has been “othered”. Mainstream media also rarely portray their stories realistically to avoid stirring up controversy. My work focuses on those othered people, how their minds work, and how people and experiences change them.
